Voice dialling
You can make a phone call simply by
saying a voice tag that has been added
to a number in the contacts. Name tags
may be added to up to 12 of the numbers
stored in the contacts. Any spoken word (or words) such as the
name of a person can be used as a voice tag to voice dial a call.
Before using voice dialling, note that:
y
Voice tags are not language dependent. They are dependent
on the speaker's voice.
y
Voice tags are sensitive to background noise. Record them
and make calls in a quiet environment.
y
You must say the name exactly as you said it when you
recorded it.
y
Very short names are not accepted. Use long names and
avoid similar names for different numbers.
Note
Using voice tags may be difficult in a noisy environment
or during an emergency, so you should not rely solely
upon voice dialling in all circumstances.
Note
To assign a voice tag to a contact, see “Voice tags” on
page 43.
